1. Brake first: peel the factory rubber pad off the brake pedal — it stretches over a metal plate and comes away by hand. Work the new cover on from one corner, easing the rubber retaining edge around all four sides of the plate until it sits flat and square.
2. Accelerator: slide the accelerator cover down over the pedal from the top, pressing it home so the retaining back grips the pedal edges along its full length.
3. Tug test: pull firmly at each cover and press both pedals through their full travel several times. A correctly seated cover does not shift, rock or lift at the corners — then you are done.

How many pedals does the set cover?
Two — accelerator and brake, which is the complete pedal set of the SEAL U. Every version of this car (DM-i hybrid and full EV) uses the same two-pedal automatic layout, and both covers are shaped for those exact pedals.

Will my foot slip on metal pedals in the wet?
No — that is exactly what the rubber strips are for. Your shoe contacts the raised rubber bars, not bare metal, and the bars channel water away like a tire tread. Wet-weather grip is noticeably stronger than the smooth factory rubber pads.

Do I need to drill or screw into the pedals?
No. Nothing is drilled and the pedal arms are untouched. The brake cover takes the place of the removable factory rubber pad, and the accelerator cover clamps over the pedal with its retaining back. Both come off again the same way they went on.

Could a cover work loose while driving?
The covers are molded to the pedal dimensions, so the retaining edges grip under tension around the whole pedal — there is no slack to work with. Seat them fully (the tug test in the fitting steps) and they stay planted; a loose fit means an edge has not been eased over the pedal yet, not a fault with the cover.

Does it fit the Sealion 6?
Yes. The Sealion 6 sold in Australia and New Zealand is the SEAL U under a market name, and the Song Plus in China is the same vehicle again — the pedals are identical, and this set fits all three.

Will the color wear off where my shoe rubs?
The color is anodizing — it is part of the metal's surface layer rather than a coating laid over it. The contact points are the rubber strips, which stand proud of the face, so the colored finish is barely touched by your shoe at all.
