Overview
A charging cable dumped loose in the boot ends up damp, gritty, tangled around the shopping and shedding black marks on everything it touches. This structured zip case gives the cable a home of its own — coiled, closed, dry and off your boot floor.
The case holds its shape instead of collapsing flat under luggage, so the connectors inside are protected by the shell rather than crushed by whatever gets loaded on top. A two-way zip closes it completely, the carry handle lifts it in and out one-handed, and the hook-and-loop back panel grips your boot carpet or seat back so the case stays exactly where you put it instead of sliding around every corner.
Why EV owners buy it
- Wet cable in, dry boot — charging happens outdoors, in weather. A cable that just came off a rain-soaked public post goes straight into the closed case, and the water stays in the case — the woven outer fabric beads water off its surface rather than soaking it up (shown in the close-up photos).
- Grit stays out of your connectors — grit settling into connector pins is what quietly shortens a cable's life. A fully zipped case seals dust and boot debris out, so the plugs come out as clean as they went in.
- It does not slide around — the hook-and-loop panel across the back grips boot carpet and the carpeted back of the rear seats (both shown in the in-car photos). No rattling, no migration into the footwell of your luggage space.
- Shaped like the coil — round and square formats sized around a coiled cable, so the lead sits in wide, relaxed loops. Wide loops are the right habit: tight winding puts a hard bend right behind each connector, which is where cables fail first.
- Instantly findable — the green EV-and-plug graphic on the lid marks it at a glance in a full boot, day or night.
Choose your size — the three options, plainly
- Round · Small — Ø35 × 10 cm ($24.99): the round case follows the natural circle of a coiled cable and holds charging cables up to 10 m — a 5 m or 10 m Type 2 lead, or a portable charger with its cable.
- Square · Small — 31 × 31 × 10 cm ($29.99): the same up-to-10 m capacity in a square footprint that packs neatly against the boot wall or seat back and stacks flat with other luggage.
- Square · Large — 46 × 46 × 10 cm ($34.99): the big case, holding cables up to 20 m. This is the one for long leads, or for a cable plus portable charger and adapters travelling together in a single case.
Design details
- Structured shell: holds its square/round profile empty or full, so it protects rather than drapes.
- Two-way zip: twin zip pulls open from either side and meet anywhere on the track — fast access with cold or gloved hands.
- Woven outer fabric: dense Oxford-style weave that beads water, shrugs off scratches and scuffs from boot hardware, and wipes clean.
- Carry handle: reinforced top handle rated for a full case — a 10 m cable is heavy, and this lifts it in one hand.
- Hook-and-loop back panel: fixes the case to boot carpet or seat backs; pulls free by hand when you want it out.
Using it
- After charging, coil the cable in wide loops — roughly the circle of the case — instead of winding it tight around your arm.
- Lay the coil in the open case, connectors on top, and zip it closed with the two pulls.
- Press the case back-down onto the boot carpet or seat back to engage the hook-and-loop panel, or carry it by the handle.

Frequently asked questions
Will my 10 m cable fit the small cases?
Yes. Both small cases — round and square — hold charging cables up to 10 m, including a 10 m Type 2 to Type 2 lead coiled in wide loops. For anything longer, or a long cable plus a portable charger in one place, choose the Square · Large, which holds up to 20 m of cable.
Round or square — which should I pick?
Same capacity, different footprint. Round follows the coil's natural circle and suits a frunk or a round spare-wheel well. Square packs flat against the boot wall or seat back, stacks with luggage, and makes full use of the hook-and-loop back panel. Pick the shape that matches the space it will live in.
Can I put a wet cable straight in after charging in the rain?
Yes — that is exactly what it is for. The outer fabric beads water and the closed case keeps the moisture off your boot carpet. Leave the zip open a crack once you are home and the cable airs dry inside the case.
Does it really stay put in the boot?
Yes. The back panel is a broad hook-and-loop surface, not a small patch: pressed onto boot carpet or a carpeted seat back it holds the case flat and still, and it peels free by hand when you want the case out.
Will it also carry my portable (granny) charger?
Yes. The Square · Small and Round · Small swallow a portable charger and its cable together; the Square · Large takes a portable charger plus a separate Type 2 lead with room to spare.
Is a charging cable included?
No — this is the storage case only, and the product photos show customer cables and chargers for scale. Our Type 2 to Type 2 charging cables are listed separately in the same Charging & Electronics collection, and every length we sell coils straight into these cases.
