1. Wash and dry the charge port door, then wipe the surface with the kind of alcohol prep pad you would use before any body trim work. The surface must be clean, dry and free of wax or dressing.
2. Offer the cover up to the door without removing the tape backing and note how the ridge and outline line up — the shape keys itself into place.
3. Peel the tape backing, align the cover, and press it home. Work around the full perimeter with firm hand pressure for 30–60 seconds.
4. Leave the car unwashed for 24 hours while the adhesive reaches full strength. After that, wash and charge exactly as normal.

Is this a replacement charge port door?
No — and that is the point. It is a precision shell that bonds over your existing door. Your original door, its hinge, latch and seal all stay in place and keep working exactly as before, with the cover riding on the outer face.

Does the charge port still open and close normally?
Yes. The cover sits on the outside face of the door only. Press-to-open, charging access and closing are unchanged — you charge exactly as you did on day one, and the photos show the cover fitted with the door closed flush.

Is it real carbon fiber?

Can I remove it later?
Yes. Warm the panel gently with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, lift the shell away slowly, and roll off any tape residue with your thumb or adhesive remover. Because nothing was drilled or modified, the original painted door underneath comes back exactly as it was.

Does it fit the Sea Lion 07 EV sold in China?
Yes — SEALION 7 and Sea Lion 07 EV are the same vehicle under two market names, and the charge port door panel is the same shape.

What if my car has PPF or a ceramic coating on that panel?
Adhesive bonds best to bare, clean paint. On a PPF-wrapped or freshly ceramic-coated door the tape grips the coating rather than the panel, so fit the cover before coating that area, or have the small door area polished back to bare paint first for a full-strength bond.
