Overview
Beneath the SEAL's floating console is the biggest storage space in the cabin — and the least organized. This soft rubber box lines that under-console cave, so your phone, wallet, keys and umbrella stop sliding from one end of it to the other.
The BYD SEAL's bridge-style center console leaves a wide, open lower level underneath — genuinely useful volume, finished in hard plastic with no divisions at all. Everything you put there travels. This storage box is molded to the cave's own curved contour and drops straight in: a long main bay, a divided section for small items, raised 10 cm walls, and a soft rubber body that grips the floor, silences every landing and will never scratch the console it sits in.
Why SEAL owners fit it
- It finishes the space BYD left open — the under-console level is where the car's USB-C, USB-A and 12V sockets live, which makes it the natural home for phones and daily carry. The box turns its bare floor into proper, divided storage directly beneath those sockets.
- Soft rubber, not hard plastic — the whole tray is flexible rubber. It twists in your hands, flexes into the cave's curves, and springs back. Items land softly and silently, the tray itself can never crack, squeak against the console or scuff the trim — and it lifts out and rinses clean under a tap.
- Walls that actually contain things — at 10 cm high, the walls keep a phone, wallet and keys corralled inside the box through cornering and braking, instead of escaping sideways under the seats.
- Divided where it matters — one long main bay takes a phone and wallet side by side, or a short umbrella lengthways; a T-divider at one end creates two smaller slots for keys, cards, coins and a charging cable.
- Grip on both sides of the problem — the fine ribbed floor texture holds your belongings still, while the rubber body grips the console floor itself. The box and everything in it stay where you put them.
Design details
- Contour-molded shell: the curved outline and rising back follow the SEAL's lower console cave exactly — this shape exists for one car and one space only.
- Layout: 1 long main bay + 2 divider slots at one end.
- Socket access kept open: the box floors the cave beneath the rear wall panel — the USB-C, USB-A and 12V sockets above it stay fully exposed, so a phone charges in the box on a short cable with no slack to tangle.
- Material: one-piece flexible rubber, matte black/charcoal, fine ribbed floor.
Exact fitment
Fitment Guide- Vehicle: BYD SEAL sedan — the electric sedan with the floating bridge console
- Model years: 2022, 2023 and 2024
- Position: the open lower level beneath the center console, in front of the socket panel
- Not for: SEAL U, SEALION models or any other BYD — their consoles are a different shape; this box is molded for the SEAL sedan's cave alone
- Drive side: the lower console level is central and symmetrical — fits left- and right-hand-drive cars
Fitting it
- Clear the lower console level.
- Flex the rubber box lightly and slide it into the cave — the material gives as it passes the opening, then settles into the floor contour.
- Press it flat into place. That is the entire installation: no tape, no clips, nothing to fix or remove later.

Frequently asked questions
Does it block the USB and 12V sockets?
No. The sockets sit on the rear wall of the lower console level, above the box's back edge — the installation photos show the socket panel fully exposed with the box in place. Plug in a short cable and your phone charges while it rests in the box.
Is this the same as an armrest tray?
No — it organizes a different space. Armrest trays shelf the bin under the armrest lid; this box lines the wide open level underneath the floating console, the largest storage area in the SEAL's cabin and the one with the charging sockets. Many owners run both.
Will the box itself slide around?
No. It is a contour fit in a walled cave, made of rubber that grips the floor it sits on — the same grip its ribbed floor gives your belongings. Once pressed into place it stays there until you lift it out.
What actually fits in it?
The main bay takes a phone and a wallet side by side with room to spare, or a short folding umbrella lengthways — exactly the load shown in the fitted photo, which also has keys in the divider slots. The 10 cm walls keep taller items like a drinks can upright and contained.
Why rubber instead of a hard organizer?
Three reasons: silence — nothing rattles against soft walls; protection — rubber cannot scratch the console trim the way a hard shell can; and fit — the material flexes into the cave's curves for a true contour fit and twists out again for washing without anything snapping.
Does it fit the SEAL U?
No. The SEAL U is a different vehicle with a different console. This box is molded exclusively for the SEAL sedan's under-console level.
