The bars are aero-profile aluminum extrusions, and the feet clamp directly onto the roof edges at the door frames with rubber-padded hooks — the SEALION 7's flush panoramic roof needs no rails, no fixed points and no drilling. Fit them in minutes, lock them with the keys in the box, and mount the roof box, bike carrier or cargo basket you already own.

1. Clean the roof edges and the top of each door frame where the feet will sit. The rubber pads grip best on clean bodywork.
2. Set the front bar across the roof above the front doors and the rear bar above the rear doors, feet resting on the roof edges.
3. Hook each clamp under the roof edge into the door frame, with the rubber pad flat against the paint.
4. Wind the dial on each foot to tighten, working side to side so both feet pull down evenly. The bar should feel solid, with no rocking.
5. Turn the key in each foot to lock it, then grip each bar and give it a hard push-pull test. Re-check the dials after your first loaded drive, and re-tighten if a foot has settled.

My SEALION 7 has no roof rails. Do these still fit?
Yes — that is the roof they are built for. The feet clamp onto the roof edge at the door frames, so raised rails are never part of the equation. Nothing is drilled and nothing permanent is added to the car.

How much weight can the bars carry?
Your ceiling is the SEALION 7's own factory roof-load rating, printed in the owner's manual — that figure already accounts for the car's structure, and it is the limit to load to. Spread weight evenly between the two bars, keep heavy items low and central, and strap every load down.

Do the clamps scratch the paint?
No. Every contact point between clamp and car is a rubber pad, and the hooks pull against the door frame edge rather than sliding across painted surfaces. Clean the area before fitting so no grit gets trapped under a pad.

Can I still use my panoramic roof?
The feet sit on the bodywork at the outer roof edges and the bars cross above the glass — the glass panel itself is untouched and unobstructed by the mounting hardware.

What can I mount on top?
Any carrier built for cross bars: roof boxes, bike racks, ski and snowboard carriers, kayak cradles and cargo baskets. The T-slot channel in the top of each bar takes standard T-track fittings, and clamp-around fittings grip the aero profile directly.

Are they noisy at motorway speed?
The wing-shaped profile is the quiet shape — air passes over it far more cleanly than over a square tube, and the rubber top insert closes the channel that would otherwise whistle. Fit the insert and end caps and the bars stay discreet at cruising speed.

Can I leave them on all year?
Yes. The locks keep them secure, the aluminum does not rust, and the finish shrugs off weather. Many owners fit them once and only remove them for a full roof polish.
