Overview
An ATTO 3 parked in summer sun is an oven with a glass lid — this rigid five-layer board is cut to the ATTO 3's exact windscreen shape and turns that glass into insulation, so you get back into a car, not a sauna.
This is not a flimsy two-layer fabric shade. The panel is a real heat-insulation board: five bonded layers built on aluminium foil, a rigid KT board core and a flannelette face, accordion-folded into vertical panels. It is die-cut to the ATTO 3 windscreen outline — including the notch at the top centre for the rear-view mirror and camera housing — so it covers the glass edge to edge with no sagging corners and no light leaks. Silver layer out to reflect the sun, black velvet layer in to absorb heat: in the side-by-side comparison graphic, the cabin thermometer reads 66°C without the shade and 32°C with it fitted.
Why ATTO 3 owners fit it
- Cut for this windscreen, not sized "close enough" — the outline, rake and mirror notch follow the ATTO 3 glass exactly. Full coverage is what makes a sunshade work; universal shades leave glowing gaps at the pillars and mirror that pour heat straight back in.
- Five layers with a rigid core — reflective foil, heat insulation, sunlight shielding and cooling layers bonded around a stiff board core. The panel holds its own shape against the glass instead of collapsing into the footwell by lunchtime.
- A cabin you can sit in straight away — with the glass insulated, the dashboard, wheel and seats stop baking. The comparison test shows 66°C dropping to 32°C — the difference between waiting with the doors open and simply driving away.
- UV protection for the interior — the silver layer reflects UV light off the glass, shielding the dashboard top, screen and trim from the fading and cracking that daily sun exposure causes.
- Folds flat, stores in its own bag — the accordion panels fold into a slim slab, an elastic strap keeps it closed, and the included drawstring bag keeps it tidy in the boot or rear footwell.
Design details
- Five-layer construction: nano reflective layer, nano heat insulation layer, sunlight shielding layer, rapid cooling layer and a cooling-sensation flannelette layer against the cabin.
- Silver side out: the aluminium foil face goes against the sun and reflects heat and UV before they enter the glass.
- Black velvet side in: the flannelette face is soft against the glass, absorbs residual heat and looks factory-dark from inside the cabin.
- Mirror notch: the cut-out at the top centre clears the rear-view mirror and the windscreen camera housing, so the board sits flush across the full width.
- Accordion fold lines: vertical fold channels let the rigid board concertina down in seconds and spring back to a flat, crease-free panel every time.

Fitting it — done in seconds
- Take the folded board from its bag and let the accordion panels open out.

- Seat the bottom edge on the dashboard, tuck the panel edges to the pillars, and fold the sun visors down to hold the top edge — the rigid board and its exact cut do the rest.
- To stow: lift it away, fold the panels back into their slab, wrap the elastic strap around it and slide it into the drawstring bag.

Frequently asked questions
Is it an umbrella-style shade?
No — and that is the upgrade. Umbrella shades are thin fabric on spokes, with gaps all round the edges. This is a rigid five-layer insulation board, die-cut to the ATTO 3 windscreen, that covers the glass fully and holds its shape against it. The fold is a concertina, so it still packs down slim in seconds.
How much cooler does it make the car?
In the product's side-by-side comparison, the cabin thermometer reads 66°C parked in the sun without the shade and 32°C with it fitted. The mechanism is simple: the silver foil layer reflects the heat and UV off the glass, and the insulated board stops what remains conducting through.
Which side faces out?
Silver side out, black side in — every time. The silver aluminium layer is the reflector and belongs against the sun; the black flannelette layer faces the cabin, where its velvet surface absorbs heat and stays gentle on the glass.
Does it fit around the mirror and camera?
Yes. The top-centre notch is cut into the panel for exactly that: it clears the rear-view mirror mount and the windscreen camera housing, so the board sits flush across the full width of the glass with no bunched-up corner.
ATTO 3 or Yuan Plus — are the windscreens the same?
Yes. ATTO 3 is the export name for the Yuan Plus, and the windscreen glass is the same panel on both — this shade fits either badge.
Where do I keep it while driving?
Folded flat in its drawstring bag. The folded slab is slim enough for the boot, the rear footwell or alongside the rear seats, and the elastic strap stops it springing open in storage.
