BYD Model Names by Market: A Compatibility Guide

Short answer: BYD uses different names for some related vehicles across markets, but a shared name family does not guarantee every accessory fits every year, powertrain or cabin configuration.

Common compatibility families in this store

  • ATTO 3 / YUAN PLUS: grouped where product evidence supports the market-name relationship; ATTO 3 EVO remains separate.
  • SEAL U / SEALION 6 / SONG PLUS: treated as a cross-market family only with EV, DM-i, year and LHD/RHD differences preserved.
  • ATTO 1 / DOLPHIN SURF / SEAGULL / DOLPHIN MINI: grouped only when supplier evidence supports the specific product.
  • ATTO 2 EV / YUAN UP: kept separate from ATTO 2 DM-i.
  • SHARK / SHARK 6: grouped while retaining body and market-configuration checks.

Names that must stay separate

SEAL, SEAL 6 and SEAL 7 are separate. SEALION 7 is not SEAL 7. DOLPHIN is not automatically DOLPHIN SURF. ATTO 3 is not ATTO 3 EVO. SEA LION 06 / SEALION 06 keeps the leading zero and is not SEALION 6. SONG L EV and SONG L DM-i are also separate.

How to use an alias collection

Start with the collection that matches your market name, then use the product page to verify year, powertrain, steering side, connector, dimensions and installation position. The collection is a discovery path, not a blanket fitment promise.
